Some of Ilan Hasson's paintings  like A view to the Mediteranean resemble Mexican art and Naïve art  in collors  and in the simplicity of shapes.

The shapes and figures in Ilan's art are  inscribed in gold and silver and create a feast of rounded decorative forms.

Daphna Shapira Hasson's art is a unique and original paper cut art. Daphna uses several techniques of weaving, cutting and drawing on paper which were invented and used only by her. Daphna uses handmade paper as well as recycled paper which she collects from magazins, newspapers, hand made paper and other sources. The paper is transformed into fascinating and unique works of art.

In her art works, Daphna Shapira Hasson relates to traditional female art and crafts such as weaving, knitting, embroidery and sawing and uses these techniques to create art which looks like precious jewelry but is fragile and perishable. She creates round shapes which are reminiscent of Tibetan Mandalas, fan shapes which is a symbol of femininity, and uses hand writings as a "Sofer Stam" uses in writing the Torah or Zen Monks writing sacred texts. These art objects resemble ritual objects, as well as Persian carpets, Jewelry and Jewish Judaikah.
